Slingshot Dakota is a two piece band made up of newlyweds Carly Comando, (vocals/keys) and Tom Patterson (drums). They are a one of kind band whose unique sound is defined by rich and uplifting songs made up of keys, drums and Carly’s sweet but rocking voice. One of our writers, Michelle Turk, sat down to talk with Tom on the last date of their US tour with Title Fight. It was an emotional night for all of the bands involved, including Slingshot who returned to Carly’s native Long Island after four years. The band expressed so much gratefulness throughout their set for the opportunity to tour alongside Title Fight, Cruel Handand Balance and Composure as well as to play for family, friends, and a sold out crowd in an all ages, alcohol free venue at 89 North in Patchogue, NY.
